Large Monolithic rocks were the central point of the stage set for Riverdance On Broadway at the Gershwin Theater. The Monoliths were set stage right and left and were the stage wings from which the performers entered and exited. Beyond Design was hired to spray a special RIMspray surface on the rocks. The designers wanted a gray tint with a “pebbly” surface that would add to the aged look of the stone. |

Riverdance On Broadway was originally scheduled to run for three months, but due to it’s popularity the show was extended 3 times and ran for over 18 months to a house of nearly 2,000 seats! After presenting 618 shows to more than 1,170,000 people, Riverdance-On Broadway gave its final performance at the Gershwin on Sunday, August 26, 2001. |
