The Artist delivered this intricate model to us in birch wood. We had to first make all surfaces flawlessly smooth, so that the mold would have no texture. This is an example of a very complex model to mold, and intricate shim lines had to be laid out. The object will then be cast with a Glass Fiber Polyester / Honeycomb composite. A LuminOre coating will be used to create a highly polished stainless steel finish, on each casting we make of the Dodecahedron.
